A beautiful mid-sized, upright grower with large panicles of brilliant red blooms. The disease resistant foliage starts as maroon-red in spring and transitions into dark green. It is the perfect plant to use as a specimen or grouping in any size garden. Deadheading will encourage re-blooming into the fall.

Combine with silver foliage plants (Artemesia, Stachys -Lamb's Ear and Variegated Liriope) for a beautiful contrast. Also try low growing Indian Hawthorne and sun loving perennials (such as Echinacea or Daylilies) and evergreen groundcovers (such as Blue Rug Juniper) around and in front of these mid-size shrubs. Use taller woody ornamentals or ornamental grasses as a backdrop. Try Paniculata type hydrangeas, Loropetalum and Miscanthus.
